We are blessed to have an organization such as the South Madison Community Foundation in our midst. Supporting the people and places of Adams, Fall Creek, Green and Stony Creek townships with the over 3 million dollars raised through donations since 1992, they are here to serve! For instance, did you know many of the local programs, scholarships, grants and more given away each year are managed by the SMCF? They are everywhere and they get things done!
About South Madison Community Foundation
The foundation was founded in 1992 and gives everyone the opportunity to give back to the communities we love. It’s their job to know which organizations are providing what services to which groups within our communities — and to help them do the best they can.
You can donate to a particular fund or even start your own, knowing the SMCF will continue to invest and gift your fund into the future, per your instructions. How great is that?!?
You can donate to any of the current funds or projects. For example:
- Charlie’s Fund for Children
- Community Engagement Fund
- Open Hearts, Open Purses
- Bright Futures
- Tools for Teachers
- Little Free Library
- Pendleton Log Cabin Project
- Pendleton Elementary School
- Public Safety
- Educational Attainment
- Scholarships – Numerous!
Pendleton Tornado Fund
Currently, the SMCF is accepting donations to help re-build Pendleton after the storms and tornadoes. It will take a lot of time and money to repair and replace what was lost and SMCF is spearheading the donations coming in locally and from around the country – from those who hold Pendleton close to their heart.
If you wish to donate today, please click the following link to donate directly to the re-building fund and write in the “Note” area your donation is for the tornado fund: https://www.southmadisonfoundation.org/online-donation
Now and for the Future of South Madison County
SMCF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a citizen board to keep true to the honored tradition of giving back, yet building for the future. Positive change. Lasting impact. That’s the goal of the South Madison Community Foundation.
